How is the price calculated?

Pricing modifiers are shown next to each option on this page. Default configurations are 'Included' — every glass panel is +$100, decorative side panels (molle, louvered, curved cut) are +$50, cabinets are +$150 each, crossbars are +$80 per bar, protection nets are +$50 each. Bed sizes scale ±$100 per half-foot from a 5.5 ft baseline. Steel material saves $250 vs aluminum. Custom or non-default colors add $100. We'll quote the final total within 24 hours of your inquiry.

What's the 5-door layout for 8+ ft beds?

Pickups with 8+ ft beds get our 5-door layout option: standard rear flip-up + a possible second door on each side.

When you pick 8 ft or larger from the bed size picker, two new sections appear on this page — one per side. Each defaults to 'No second door' (keeps a single-door panel like smaller beds). Pick a second door style if you want the 5-door layout. Left and right are fully independent — any combination is supported: both sides 2-door, only one side 2-door, or both sides 1-door.

Aluminum or steel — which should I pick?

Aluminum (5052, 2mm) is the default. It's significantly lighter than steel, naturally rust-resistant, and won't noticeably hurt your fuel economy. Best for daily drivers, weekend campers, and most use cases.

Manganese Steel (galvanized) is heavier and can develop surface rust over years of exposure — but it has higher load capacity and saves $250 on the build. Pick steel if you're mounting a rooftop tent, hauling heavy gear regularly, or want to save on the build cost.

Roof load: aluminum supports about 250 kg (~550 lbs) static, steel about 400 kg (~880 lbs) static. These are parked figures — for things like a rooftop tent you sleep in. Reduce the load for driving and follow your rack or tent maker's in-motion limits.

Why does the protection net depend on my glass choices?

The net only makes sense for protecting glass — solid panels don't need it. The max quantity automatically equals the number of glass panels you've selected across left, right, and rear (0–3). Pick one net per glass panel for full coverage, or fewer if you only want partial protection.

Can I get a paint match to my exact truck color?

Yes. The 4 named colors above are the most-requested OEM truck finishes (Oxford White, Magnetic Gray, Iconic Silver, Rapid Red). If you want something else, pick 'Custom color' and enter your truck's paint code (3-letter sticker inside the driver-side door jamb) — we'll match it. Custom paint adds $100 and 1–2 weeks of build time.

What about bed sizes outside the 4.5–8 ft range?

Most pickups fall in this range. If yours doesn't (vintage, heavy-duty, or custom-modified), pick 'Custom' on the bed size and enter your exact length — we round to the nearest 0.5 ft for pricing and confirm fit during the quote.
