Ordering a canopy online shouldn't mean fitment anxiety. So we built the process around your truck's factory data, not your tape measure.

When you order a CHITIN, you simply supply your VIN or your exact factory trim details. From there, our team handles the engineering verification manually for every single order, cross-referencing your truck's factory build sheet against our engineering molds before anything ships.

For most trucks, that's all you need to do. You don't have to be an expert in bed lengths, rail types, or trim packages — that's our job.

If your specific truck isn't in our system yet, we'll ask for a few quick measurements. We'll send you the simple guide below showing exactly what to measure (and we're a quick email away if anything's unclear). Either way, we verify the fit before we build — no order goes to production unverified.

How it works

Three steps to a verified fit

Every order goes through the same hands-on verification — no exceptions.

  1. Share your truck

    Enter your VIN or your exact Year, Make, Model, and Trim. If your truck isn't in our system yet, we'll request a few measurements with a simple guide.

    Our team cross-references your factory build sheet against our engineering molds to confirm an exact match — manually, on every order.

  3. We confirm, then ship

    Your fit is verified before production is finalized and crated. Only then does your canopy ship to your door.

What to measure (if your truck isn't in our system)

Most orders skip this step entirely. But if we ask for a few measurements — because your truck is rare, new to market, or a custom build — here's the guide. Snap photos with a tape measure across each labeled section and email them to orders@chitincap.com. We'll do the rest.
